Our strategy aims at expanding our services both in country and internationally. To increase our market share we always look at buying modern helicopters to ensure safe air transportation to offshore facilities.

For the last five years SonAir has been experiencing a process of rapid change, adapting and responding to the growing demands of Angola's expanding oil industry. The oil industry is developing at a breathtaking pace and to remain on top of its game SonAir has to keep up.

Therefore, SonAir after having built its new headquarters is currently constructing a large new hangar in Luanda where its helicopters will be serviced. Furthermore, the company intends to expand into new territories, with the building of new infrastructure both in Soyo, 300kms north of Luanda, which will serve the big new liquefied natural gas project. And it also plans new developments in Cabinda.

Over time, SonAir plans to branch out into yet other new markets. And to successfully venture into those new areas when time comes, we are already setting up flexible management structures so that we can respond rapidly to changing conditions and maximise our efficiency. This strategy will enable SonAir to survive and prosper, and to be ready for the time when we have to compete with local and foreign companies.

Although it has enjoyed a near monopoly, the company is now facing up to the prospect of competition. But we believe that our good performance in services delivery and well planned strategy will keep us on top of the game.
